Talkin Tarn Country Park

Lake with accessible paths. Café, shop and accessible loos.

The Sill, Once Brewed, Northumberland

National Landscape Discovery Centre: fully accessible, with good café, accessible loos and roof garden. Helpful staff.

Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve

Birds, water vole and other wildlife. Boardwalks and accessible hides, accessible visitor centre and loos.

Yat Rock, Hereforshire

Lovely views of the River Wye and surrounding countryside. Blue Badge parking, loos, accessible snack bar and gift shop.

Hampton Court Castle and Gardens, Herefordshire

Fabulous walled gardens, lawns and woods. Ground floor of castle accessible, accessible tea rooms and loos.

Queenswood Country Park and Arboretum, Herefordshire

Accessible, free arboretum with viewing point, visitor centre, gift shop and accessible loos.

Canal Gardens, Leeds

Lovely gardens over the road from Roundhay Park. Tropical World (wheelchairs only, I think), café, shop and accessible loos.

The Homestead Park, York

Beautiful, well-kept flowerbeds, lawns and borders; all year round colour, play area, pop-up café, accessible loos.

National Centre for Early Music (NCEM)

Accessible venue in converted church, wide variety of music, reserved wheelchair spaces, accessible loo.

York Theatre Royal

Recently refurbished, York Theatre Royal has wheelchair spaces and accessible loos in the stalls and Dress Circle.

Bridlington promenade

Smooth promenade with some accessible parking nearby and RADAR-key loos.

Gardens, nursery and café. All  year round interest, mainly tarmac paths, accessible loo.

Askham Bog, York

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust (YWT) nature reserve with board walks.

Temple Newsam, Leeds

Most spectacular when the rhododendrons are flowering, Temple Newsam has woods, a lake, hothouses and a rare breeds farm as well as a café.

Golden Acre Park, Leeds

Lakeside paths and woods, tearooms and wonderful colour all year round.

Thorp Perrow Arboretum, near Bedale, North Yorkshire

Woods, lake, adventure playpark, tearooms. Highlights are bluebells in Spring and fabulous Autumn colours.
